This is a great mascara....it seems to catch every little lash and makes them all long and thick. I also use it with the lash primer some times and then they really pop !
Another reviewer mentioned clumping and flaking...I do find the mascara can clump around the base of the wand, but not on the lashes...and I've had no flaking either.

I bought the indigo. Love the color. Cannot wait to buy the teal! Every time I use it my husband comments on my eyes. Glides on with no clumping. Little flaking. Please dont stop making this product!

Good Mascara, But Nothing Special

Best For: building volume in the lashes
Bought this and liked it; Sumptuous Extreme does build volume. I used an eyelash curler and then applied two coats. My beef is that Sumptuous Extreme does not have any better effects than a well known drugstore brand I've used which is also known for building volume and length at roughly half the price..

Best Colored Mascara

I have tried colored mascaras from so many different brands, both high end and low end and the Sumptuous Extreme mascaras are by far the very best. You don't have to sacrifice the volume you would get from a regular mascara and the color is rich and gorgeous. I have the Violet and plan to purchase additional colors soon!

Great Mascara

This mascara is excellent! It makes lashes look very full and long. I have light lashes which are thin and Sumptuous Extreme Mascara really makes them look full and lush. I also have very sensitive eyes and this mascara does not irritate my eyes. Love the variety of special colors like Extreme Violet and Teal. Great product! Hope they keep the specialty colors.

Unbeatable Volume

Best For: dramatic but still everyday doable volume
This delivers very good volume just like it says. I use it after I use a lengthener. Makes my lashes thicker without being clumpy or goopy. Has good hold for curl as well, without feeling stiff and dry. You can apply multiple coats if needed but I find I only need 1 coat on the top lashes to noticeable bump up the, "eyes have it" type look. You can take this mascara as far as you want to go getting as Extreme as you dare! I have tried many, many volumizing mascaras but I will keep repurchasing this one for sure.

This mascara is amazing!! The brush is pretty big, compared to most mascaras I've used. But it is not a bad kind of "big" though. The mascara itslef is ( to me ) more watery( for lack of a better word) than most mascaras. Most I have tried have had a thick and rougher texture ( when on lashes and visible on brush), but this is a smooth, silky mascara. I love it and recommend it. PS> If you do not like large mascara wands/brushes then you may not want this product or would like to purchase a different brush/

This mascara does wonders for my short, thin lashes. When the tube is new, I always scrape the sides so I don't get too much product. I love that I can build and build on it, to create more drama. If I want the most drama, I use Estee Lauder Lash Primer first.

Advertising lured me in to try this new mascara...found that advertising promised more than the product could offer me. As always, using the primer underneath, this mascara left my lashes looking clumpy, not defined at all, and not lengthened. I use brown, which is not available in all Estee mascaras, so my choices are limited, but this is definitely not the one for me!

One of the most important elements to a really great mascara is that it's clump-free! I can assure you that this mascara not only does the job of making your eyelashes longer and thicker, but it doesn't clump! I spent a lot of time and a lot of money trying to find the perfect mascara, and I can honestly say I found it with Estee Lauder's "Sumptuous Extreme!"

I've been using Sumptuous Extreme for 5 mos. now. I use violet, blue and black. This product rocks! It doesn't clump your lashes or smudge. It lengthens to an enviable extent of which I've never experienced before. I get compliments all the time, and asked if my lashes are real or "done". I'm a youthful looking 50+ and believe me, those compliments go along way!

This mascara has several pros such as it lasts all day without flaking or smearing. It is easy to remove and the color is very black which I like. It has more cons than pros to me. It is very clumpy and wet out of the tube, it clumps my lashes, I don't get volume or length with this mascara. I have to work so hard just to make my lashes look decent with this product. I will not repurchase. I prefer Sumptuous Bold mascara over the Extreme version. But there are better mascaras out there than either versions. Estee Lauder needs to revamp this product. I gave it 3 stars because it doesn't flake or smear.

I've tried lots of different brands/types of mascara, and none have achieved the same effect as this! Aptly named "sumptuous extreme", it really does bring out the best in both volume and length! Great results for anyone hoping to make their eyes "pop".

I have used probably several hundred brands of mascara, and in comparison this one just doesn't make par. It clumps, my lashes seem no thicker nor longer, and it easily smears. Not a great buy in my book.
