Best For: pores, refinshing the skin
THis was one of the first things I ever bought from Estee Lauder and one of the first things I repurchased when I went back to Estee Lauder after leaving it (stupidly) to try something else.
I love the glide of this product on my skin but I love the refinishing part of this product the most. I have very rapid cell turnover and this serum helps me keep up with that. It also keeps my makeup from sinking into my pores and looking yucky. I use a pump or two all over my face and really give my skin a gentle massage as the serum sinks in.
I love the smell too. After returning to EL I think I will always keep this dynamite serum in my collection because it keeps my fair skin fresh, smooth and beautifully fair. Love it!

I tried a sample of this and then immediately bought a bottle. After using it for just a week, I can see a significant difference in the way my pores look and my skin feels. I've been haunted by big pores my whole life and using this in the morning after my toner, before my moisturizer, along with making sure my skin is CLEAN, has left my skin feeling soft and just more normal and my pores truly do look smaller and are less clogged. I also have sensitive, breakout prone skin so I always feel hesitant to try something new, but this did not make me break out at all.

This product smells great and it really works. I use it in the morning as guided and I use the ANR at night. It's been a month since I started using it and I have seen visible results!

Wonderful serum

The serum has an amazing fragrance. It feels so good on the skin. I've been using it in the morning and the ANR at night, and I find that I don't need to use much makeup anymore. My skin is bright and smooth on its own! It's been a couple weeks and I notice a huge difference in my skin condition. Definitely a keeper!

I have been using Idealist for years. I buy a bottle in advance of using up my current bottle. My skin was always a bit red in areas and my pores very noticible. My skin has never looked more even toned and my pores have definitley become much less noticeable. I put it on in the a.m. before applyng my makeup. It leaves my skin feeling silky soft and my foundation goes on easily. I highly recommend this product. It's been a great skin calmer for me. I also use it over a moisturizer.

I really love this minimizing skin refinisher! It might be one of the best product I've ever use. My skin type is combination and sensitive(sometimes with acne), and this product can amazingly smooth and moisturize my skin. I can actually tell my skin condition is much better after using it, highly recommend.

I don't have big pores so I dont know if it minimizes them but it does brighten up my skin which is great. I have dry skin and it doesn't seem to help with that.

The pore minimizing serum smells great and makes your skin feel very soft; however, it did nothing to minimize my pores. I was hoping this would at least help a little, but I haven't noticed a difference yet. I am still keeping my fingers crossed that it will start working.

Fruition vs Idealist

I know the Idealist was supposed to replace the Fruition product, but I still miss the Fruition. I had used it for years and I never had any issues with my skin. Matter of fact I was always getting compliments on how young I look. (50s).
Not sure who/how these decisions are made, but I can tell you I haven't been satisfied since they dropped the Fruition product. Just curious,,,,any other Fruition lovers?

This product is amazing! I use it daily under makeup - sometimes with a moisturizer, sometimes without, and it leaves my skin feeling incredibly smooth and soft.
Not one of the more expensive Estee Lauder products, but certainly one of the best!

I have used it in my 20s due to my pores. I think I didn't think it was very impressive at that time but it was the ONLY serum I will keep buying. In the end, I can't afford it and move on to many, many serum or pore minimizing product. Now, in my 30s, I revisit this and I have to say it is amazing! My skin is smoother, more even tone, and pore looks less noticeable after one week of use. I use it twice a day as oppose to using it only in AM and use the repair serum in PM. I got the bigger bottle and one pump is all you need for you whole face....so I think it will be a while before I need to repurchase. I totally love it.

Maybe I am just imagining this, but I felt like this made my pores more noticeable. It certainly didn't make my pores any smaller. I do love how incredibly soft it made my skin feel, but I had to stop using it because I was afraid it was worsening my pores.

Idealist Pore Minimizing is amazing! I've only used it now for a couple of weeks and see imporvements not only in my skin, but how my make-up (foundation) glides on and looks great all day.

I just thought I was cursed with large pores and have to live with it, but this product really works. Been using it for 3 weeks and I can see a noticeable difference. Worth every penny!!
