Best For: face and neck
I like Hydrationist in the morning right out of the shower after Soft Clean Silky Hydrating Lotion, one and then the other.
Hydrationist is great. I have been using it for a night cream before bed too. Hydrationist keeps my face and neck soft, it is a simple product. It is not too expensive!

Its non-greasy which I like. But it doesn't keep my skin hydrate like it says.

Missing Enriched Under Makeup Cream

For years now I have been searching for a replacement for the Enriched Under Makeup Cream that I used for 40 years. I tried every Department Store and Drugstore cream I could get my hands on. NOTHING EQUALS THE E.U.M.C. That being said the Hydrationist cream is close.
It does help my skin and is absorbed quickly. It does not go as far as the E.U.M.C. did. My biggest hope is that one day Estee Lauder will chose to put it back on the market, until then this is the closest I have found.

Rich but not heavy!

I have used this product since it was called Hydra-Complete and I love it! In the winter I use it as a Night creme over ANR and ANR eye. It gives dry "thirsty" skin a deep down feeling of moisture but is not like putting butter on your face like so many dry skin cremes I use Day Wear in the morning and this at night. The lotion is great in the summer under make-up!

...I have been using this for about 10 days. It doesn't seem to be working for me. I am Black/American with dry skin- especially in the winter. I use this along with the Advanced Night Repair ( which i have always liked). I was using Hydrationist night and day. But i decide to switch to the Day Wear (which i love) during the day. The Hydrationist leaves my skin looking refreshed but it feels tight and i started to notice some dryness on my forehead in the morning some days. I won't be buying this again. Its not a "bad" product- it just doesn't work for me.

I have been using Hydrationist for about a year, and it has made a huge difference in my skin. I am 55 now, and my skin is drying out. Hydrationist really helps keep my skin soft and supple. Thank you, Estee Lauder, for keeping me looking young.

I have used this product since 2006 and since it is over my budget the less than 2 oz container extended use up to 4 months by sparingly just put 6 dots of it on my face everyday and that little amount do magic with my crow lines and wrinkles. I am over 50 years old but after applying it, it makes me look like I am in my late 20's. I have used different moisturizers and this is the only one that is compatible with my skin chemicals. Its like magic, all my friends are wondering why I look so much younger than they are.

Moisturizes beautifully

I have very dry skin. I use this at night after cleansing and and it moisturizes beautifully. I will definitely purchase again. I wouldn't use it in the morning under makeup because I like a moisturizer with an spf factor.

Super smoothing, not greasy, soft focus effect

I have used Hydrationist for Dry skin for a month as part of a kit, and it is impressive. It is not greasy, gives you the smoothest skin, and a soft focus effect that is great. I have combination to oily skin prone to acne, and this did not break me out but, in combination with the ANR at night and Idealist daytime, cleared up my skin and made it look so much better. I had been using an inexpensive product for a month, and I thought it was doing a great job, but then I used this, and saw how much better this makes my skin look. One of the main ingredients is a polymer that provides this "soft focus" and it's awesome! The fact that a person with oily skin not particularly in need of hydration can use this and get good results is amazing. As to the scent, it's hardly noticeable.

This cream is excellent after the toner. I have dry skin. What I like about this cream is that it is not oily. I gives you that moisture you need without the oil. Excellent product. I will purchase again soon.

As soon as you apply this creme, your skin feels moisturized. The creme has a nice clean smell. I felt my skin mosturized throughout the day. I love this product and would highly recommend it.

best hydrating cream ever

I have dry skin, which tends to flake if not hydrated properly. I have used Estee Lauder products for 24 years (since I was 16) - I am now 40 and was having difficulty finding a cream for such "dry" skin. I returned to Estee Lauder after trying several other brands (high end as well) per recommendations - none worked and worse led to breakouts and blemishes (in addition to dry, my skin is fair and sensitive). I tried EL hydrationist - max moisture- and it worked immediately! Fabulously beautiful is all I can say about the skin texture and tone. No flakiness; no oiliness; nothing "heavy" - it is a thick cream that disappears on contact. It hydrates immediately. It is fantastic. Definitely keeps my skin looking younger than my years. Thumbs up+++ use it!

This product seems to be an effective moisturizer, but I have two important complaints. The jar, newly opened, is literally half empty. As I write this, I'm looking at the picture on the website, which shows a mound of cream extending over the top of the jar. The cream in my jar of Hydrationist wouldn't make it to the top of the "Estee Lauder" printed on the jar. Complaint #2 is the strong smell which is a cross between heavy perfume and rancid oil. Although it's thick and moisturizing, the odor is sickening. I couldn't possibly recommend this to anyone.

I have dry skin (perhaps due to using acne wash) so I found this product helpful.
However, the Time Zone creme that mom uses smells much better and feels nicer on the skin. Thus, I cannot give this product a 5.
Also, this can get thick if one uses liquid foundation over it. It doesn't matter if one uses powder foundation or no makeup.

The Only Moisturizer I Use!

This is literally the best moisturizer I have ever used. I have had really dry skin ever since I was a kid and this creme has done wonders for me. It lasts all day. And if I put multiple layers overnight, my skin looks FLAWLESS the next day. It's like a mini-facial. I will never use another moisturizer on my skin ever again! I love Estee Lauder!
