The cream is very pretty - like makeup for your body and it smells wonderful. BUT............I put it in my hair and it changed the color of my hair from blonde to peach! I am not sure if it rubs off on my clothes yet - afraid to try except with a colorful sundress in case it rubs off. I am enjoying it but would not purchase again or recommend. Aerins rose scented body creme was much nicer.
When this first arrived, the scent was a sort of putrid sweet potpourri to me, like real potpourri, and the tube is unsealed so I called and complained that it had gone bad and they promptly mailed a new tube, which was unsealed with the same scent. The scent has grown on me, and while it's stronger than the hand cream, I don't mind it as it fades. You get a subtle tan color with tiny sparkles, very sophisticated and subtle, and while there are not many fancy ingredients in this, it does contain one that I researched is reparing after sun. The texture is great, and feels luxurious. The ingredient list is miniscule on the box (are you hiding the vegtable oil? it's ingredient #6 and not what I would expect). The packaging is fabulous, so gorgeous, although a flip top would be more convenient. It feels very high end and luxurious. I think the scent is based on an infusion which is the latest in perfumery to get a natural magnolia, rose, peony essence, and I'm all in favor of flower waters. Magnolia is said in aromatherapy and ancient chinese medicine to be relaxing--and we could all use some of that! Another note about the 'sparkles" - they are mica not gem dust as I might have expected, and give you a "thousand points of light" soft specialness that is very sexy. It's also deeply moisturizing, and thanks to meadowfoam seed oil, long lasting.
Best For a summer essential, hydration, pleasant look & smell
I was excited to see this beach cream available again, as I used & loved it last summer. It's very hydrating to sun-damaged hair and dry skin. The lovely fragrance blends well with any perfume. (I chose to use it with EL's Bronze Goddess for a true summer experience.) The slight shimmery bronze look is yet another appealing attribute to this fine product. I snatched this up as soon as I saw it was back again. :)
Absolutly love this cream. It gives you just enough of a warm glow with or without sitting in the sun. It is not over done by the fragrant soft smell of roses. Very pleasant. I wear this to work and I love the results. The soft smell is not too much for a working enviornment. It makes you feel good. Nice product.
I saw this in a magazine and I was excited to go to my local Estée Lauder counter to check it out. The product is named Beach Cream which would make you think that it smells beachy, however it does not. It smells like roses. Not at all what I would picture putting on for the summer. Did not buy.
