Best For any skin type....must try
THIS LOTION IS GENTLE ON MY SENSITIVE SKIN, AND VERY SOOTHING. I HAVE COMBINATION SKIN AND IT'S NOT GREASY, IT ABSORBS VERY WELL. HAS AVOCADO AND GRAPE SEED OIL, ALSO COLLAGEN. I HAVE TRIED MANY OTHER MOISTURIZERS AND NOTHING COMPARES TO THIS ONE. IT WAS MRS.LAUDER'S FAVORITE, IF SHE USED IT, THEN IT MUST BE GOOD! IT SMELLS NATURAL LIKE HERBS AND IS NOT AT ALL STRONG. IT ALSO EVENED OUT MY SKIN TONE, IT LOOKS LUMINOUS AFTER A FEW USES. I HAVE FINALLY FOUND THE LOTION FOR ME, THANK YOU, I LOVE IT.
I had been using Time Zone and it was just so thick feeling on my face.I discovered this and I am in love! This has way more bang for your buck. The jar is bigger so you get more product. The cream is lighter and a little goes a long ways.I love the silky feeling this gives my face.It is working better than what I was using. Please do not stop making this. The ONLY thing that could make this better is if it had a pump on the bottle to get it out.I know this is one of the oldest things that Lauder has-but sometimes the oldies are the goodies.I love this stuff.Cannot be w/o this stuff!!!!
This has been around for years and I used it for years. I have stopped buying the latest and greatest lotion and cream that promises this or that and I am returning to the products that I know do work and will stick with them from now on. I always loved the smell of this lotion and the smooth feeling it gave my face. Years ago I received great advice from a consultant and I have never forgotten it. Thanks to her I took care of my neck and face with EL products and as I approach 70, I am virtually wrinkle free. I am so happy this product is still available that just goes to prove its effectiveness by loyal users. There is one more product I wish EL would bring back--the almond face mask Mrs. Lauder always used and swore by. I used it for a long time and really would like to see it return.
I am 58 and have been using this lotion since I was 20 so I have 38 years of Performing extract use - I can honestly say this is the only product that continues to keep my skin looking young, i have no eye wrinkles , face wrinkles or frown lines. I do have a bit of a chicken neck and use another product to tighten that area . No one can ever guess my age -and I am sure it is due to this lotion and my water consumption. I hope that Estee continues to keep this product available for ever. I gave my 21 year old daughter her first bottle at age 19 and I think she will be a forever user as well
Best For Hydrating, Wrinkle Reduction, Normal/Combination Skin, Smoothing Lines, Oily Skin, Dry Skin, Lifting/Firming
Swiss Performing Extract is a remarkable lotion. It's just a great, simple antiaging moisturizer. The ingredients in this product really help to keep my skin radiant and healthy. And because my skin has this healthy appearance, fine lines are diminishing. I had stopped using it only to try less expensive products. But nothing works like Swiss Performing Extract. So I have come back to using it. Now my skin is going through menopause. This product keeps my skin in balance and it still looks radiant and healthy. I have sensitive, combination skin and this product nourishes my skin without irritation, does not cause breakouts or clogged pores. Absolutely love the smell ... it reminds me of aromatherapy. Feels great, too - doesn't leave a film or try to do fancy time-release hydration, etc. This is an Estee Lauder classic that has been around for years. I wish more of those "Lauder classics" from years ago would make a comeback. The bar of facial soap, the toners with sunscreen and the moisturizer that was truly for oily skin.
I'm a first time user of this product and, frankly, purchased it because it got such rave reviews and evidently was Mrs. Lauder's favorite! I've been using it at night and in the morning under my make up for about 3 weeks now and haven't seen any big changes in my skin, but know that I have to use anything for a long period for it to make a difference. So, I'm hoping that it will help me over the long run. It goes on smooth and absorbs quickly into my skin. The smell is a bit astringent, but not bad. Overall I like it.
A friends mom, who is 86 has been using this product forever and she looks great at her age, so I tried it. I love this product and have been using it ever since. I recommended it to my friend and now she is using it as well. It's a great price and you will love the results!
My skin becomes dry as the weather gets cold, and it gets specially dry when I use products to treat my acne. Thus, this was perfect for matters of moisture. I've a subtle frown wrinkle between my brows that's visible if I sleep on my side.. This hasn't reduced that wrinkle after my using it for 2 months. I'm going back to Time Zone after using this. For the people who dislike the smell of this (a smell that reminds of pine trees in my childhood backyard 10+ years ago?), it's a good idea to smell it in a store or get a sample. The smell stays on my face for more than an hour. One just has to get used the smell. The container doesn't have a pump. One has to dump out the moisturizer. It's quite liquid, and if I'm not careful, I get more than I need. What the ladies claimed about slowing (or stoppling) aging might be right. Mom used this when she was young, and people think she's 10 years younger than she is.
I started using Swiss Performing Extract at an early age of 25. I didn't have acne as a teenager, but it hit me in my 20s. My dermatologist told me to use EL products, and Swiss Performing Extract was suggested because it was a light moisturizer. I have used it ever since, and I will be 60 in Nov. My daughters tell me I have pretty skin, and I always give credit to Swiss P. E. My youngest daughter compares me to other women my age, and she tells me often that I don't have any wrinkles. I know I actually do have some, but I have been blessed not to have a lot. I love this product because it has a very pleasant soft odor and feels so good when I put it on. My face feels so soft all day long. I can't stand to go to bed at night without it being on my face. I would recommend Swiss Performing Extract to any woman--young or old. Something has helped my skin, and I truly feel it was this product. As I have learned from life, new is not always better. This product is tried and true. PLEASE CONTINUE TO MAKE THIS PRODUCT!
Based on reviews it sounded like a great moisturizer. I just received it and unfortunately my skin became blotchy. I will try a few more time since this is the first time I broke out with any EL product.
The EL creams were too rich for me, so I decided to try this after seeing the very positive feedbacks.
This lotion is much lighter, and yet moisturising. My place is hot and humid, so it still took some time to get absorbed completely (~ 30 mins). In an air-con room, it gets absorbed almost immediately.
I think my skin loved this lotion. My complexion looks more radiant after I started this extract. And as the rest have commented, a little goes a long way.
Best For Hydrating, Normal/Combination Skin, basic moisturizer
I was at my grandmothers house (a long time loyal lauder user!) and had forgotten my Hydrationist lotion so i saw the bottle on her dresser and gave it a try... I was amazed... I am normal/combo and have used this nightly over my Advanced Night Repair ever since... It is great the bottle is HUGE for the price and has a nice classic scent... I have turned alot of my 20 and 30 something friends onto this... Its so cool to think that Estee Lauder herself created this... A must try!
I wanted to love this; it smells amazing, the texture is lovely and it feels like silk. BUT it is not enough moisture for my dry skin. I went with Clinique Moisture Surge intense for less money and more moisture instead. I do like Lauder skin but this was a disappointment.
Used this over 20 yrs. One of very few moisturizers that does not cause break outs on my sensitive skin, also love the lightness of the feel on my face instead of thick creams that clog pores. Diminishes small lines immediately upon use.
I have used Swiss Performing Extract for the past 30 years, since I was 25. It is not heavy or greasy and is absorbed very quickly into my skin that is so dry after I wash my face. I do not mind the fragrance either.
I have read numerous raves about this product, women saying they've used it for years and in their 40's and up, they have fantastic skin. Wish I had started sooner. I am in my mid 40's and my skin is starting to really show signs of aging, getting dryer but still sort of on the combination side. I was using Time Zone Night, Night Repair and Advanced Night Repair Eye at night and it wasn't enough. I switched out Time Zone Night for Swiss Performing Extract and my skin looks soft, radiant, lines look a little less prominent, and it just feels so much more moisturized. I use Swiss Performing Extract during the day too, along with SPF, and under make-up, and again, radiant skin. I don't think anything is going to completely erase our lines, ladies, BUT if I can get a really nice skin tone out of a product, which I'm getting with this, then I'll take it. By the way, you get used to the smell. It's not THAT horrible.
I have been using SPE since I was 25 and I'm 63 years old. I have loved it since the first time I used it. My skin looks great even without makeup. I had a wonderful representative at the cosmetics counter who told me that I needed to make the investment in a good moisturizer and take care of my skin before the lines and wrinkles showed up. I'm so glad I listened to her. My skin still looks great, and I can thank Estee Lauder for that!!!!!
Best For Dry Skin, winter, night time, under makeup
My Grandmother has used this since the 70,s and at 30 I have spent TONS of $ for the IT cremes you see in beauty mags. I went to vist her during christmas and left my day and night creme at home and did not want to go to the mall the week of christmas. I read the ingrediants in this and saw proven skin firmers and age-defyers. OMG! I love this. Its soothing and thirst quenching. The smell is nice. I did worry about it not having spf but my foundation does. I wish younger people would give this a try. This is a CLASSIC created by Ms. Lauder herself... Enough said! PLEASE DONT DISCONTINUE this like so many other undercounter products have been!
