This is a little smaller than I thought it would be, but there is a generous amount of solid perfume inside (almost the whole diameter is filled with perfume). As far as using it as a jewelry accessory, the pendant is a nice size to wear, not too heavy and relatively flat so it doesn't get in the way and doesn't flip over excessively. The overall finish is very smooth (i.e., well-made) and the only thing slightly rough that might catch on clothing fabric is the hinge pin tip at the lower tip, but so far it hasn't been an issue. The overall effect is understated, not glitzy. My only complaint is that the price is a bit high for what you get, compared to compacts from prior years, such as the tiger, last year's bird, and the jingle bell which had more complex designs and were larger, and were yet less expensive.
I have been collecting Estee Lauder solid perfumes for a long time. I am very disappointed with this years' selection. This heart is cheap and hard to open. The red button is cheap plastic, and makes the heart look cheap. The strap is cheap. The heart and coin are unattractive compared to what they use to produce. These collectibles are expensive. I think Estee Lauder needs to go back to making collectibles that makes you feel like your getting your moneys worth. Go back to the nice ones i.e. the tiger, the holiday bell, the squirrel, the horse/sleigh etc.. The collectors need to feel they have something worth collecting.
Beautiful Compact. Purchase one every year and they keep getting better. Been collecting them for several years now. My wife loves to wear it on special occasions and always get compliments. Plus I get to enjoy her next to me!!!
I would not buy this or the YD coin. They are both very cheaply made and way overpriced for the money. I am willing to pay for a much better product than this. What happened to the ones that were made just even 5 years ago. They seem to get cheaper and cheaper every year.
