I am totally unimpressed with this eye liner. It does not last all day. By the end of the day it is gone from the outside corner of my eyes. I am returning this product.
I love this pencil. It's adjustable so there is no sharpening, no mess, no breaking. I've used it for years. The Walnut Brown is a lovely shade, nice with my skin tones, which are lighter, but the rich color would be good for most skin tones. I have noticed that this product seems slightly different than in prior years, but that might be me. It seems a bit oiler, so it does tend to "wear away" as the day goes on. I just carry an extra pencil with me and do touchups whenever I want a fresh look.
Been using for 20yrs...just buy the new one every time, comes with one refill, sponge tip great for blending, smooth application- can't go wrong with this one :-)
The color is rich, the texture is soft and creamy.I love that it stays put. It blends easily and stays where you want it to. Sharp line - got it. Smoky blend - got it. Use it with concealer as an eye shadow base - got it. It won't crease and won't dry out your eyelid's skin.
This is unquestionably a great product. The mascara goes on easily and stays in place well. I'd never want to go back to a mascara pencil that requires sharpening. The smudge tip is wasted on me but may be useful for others. My only real complaint is that it's cheaper to buy a new Eye Pencil which comes with one refill than it is to buy two refills. Consequently, I'm always throwing away a perfectly good empty pencil which seems wasteful.
This is by far the best eye pencil I have ever used. No kidding ten years ago ladies I bought this Estee lauder pencil, a tragedy happened in my life & I didn't wear make up for about 8 years, I found this pencil in my old make up bag & started to use it. It is just like it was ten years ago. This is the truth. It goes on smooth all you need is one stroke. It is smooth & rich. I LOVE this product. Ladies if you ever use this pencil you will never want to use another one
I love the Hyacinth Sky Automatic Eye Pencil Duo, although the "Duo" part of the name is a bit misleading. One end of the product contains the actual eyeliner, and the other end is just a sort of rubbery tip you're supposed to use to smudge the liner.
The eyeliner goes on easily, doesn't pull, and smudges quite well. Nice color intensity, and you NEVER have to worry about sharpening it. The refill cartridge included in the packaging is a great benefit.
I've used the Auto Eye Pencil Duo for about 6 years, and will never by another drug store eye liner. And now I've just tried it in plum grey - terrific!
I bought this in Walnut Brown. I don't like the color because it is too "warm" and chocolate-y. I am fair with blonde hair and green eyes and anything with a reddish or orange undertone looks terrible on me. I stick to more neutral colors and those with a grey undertone. This would have been a great buy (it comes with a refill) if the color was better. Also, it is just a standard eyeliner that can smear a bit - I prefer using powder eyeshadow applied with a very fine brush. The sponge tip blender gets dirty and I'm afraid it will wear out soon because I wash it occasionally with mild soap. This doesn't come with a replacement sponge.
Actual eye pencils are too firm to me... So, I prefer the lasting, softer feel of this liner. It is not uncomfortable to apply, and the color provides just enough definition to my eyes. Thanks!
I like all the other colors of this pencil, but plum grey does not have enough color to it & wears off quickly. It is as if the manufacturer simply did not put enough pigment in the formula. I like the color, but it is very faint when applied, even with a couple of coats. Then, it rubs off or absorbs into the eyelid within an hour of so. (I'm not sure which, but it basically disappears.) It seems "greasier" than the other colors. I know this is a new color to the line, and my suggestion is to tweak the formula to fix these problems b/c it is a nice color, it just does not go on well or stay on.
I found this eye pencil to be dry and dull. It pulled at my skin as I tried to apply it, and the color was uneven. With all the gel liners available today why even bother with a dry, breakable liner?
This color is very natural for me with dark brown eyes and hairs and a very light skin. I also use an Estee Lauder automatic brow pencil in dark brown. They both are my favorites. I have searched and tried a lot pencils before I purchased these. I am very picky! I will use these two for the rest of my life everyday. People can not tell that I wear these but I definitely can tell the difference. I wear contact lenses and have sensitive skin. They are perfect. Thank you Estee Lauder!
I love using Automatic Pencil Duo. It doesn't smear or run and I love the color I use. I have been using this pencil for over 20 years. I never change brands I love Estee Lauder and the prducts they have and sell.
I really like this eye pencil in the Khaki color. It's soft, easy to apply and it matches my eye color. I'd have given it 5 stars, but it's frustrating that the refills are rarely available and you have to buy the whole thing again when you run out. I just bought it again like two weeks ago (refills were out of stock of course) and today the refills are available.
