I am SHOCKED!!!
Date:October 23, 2013
Let me start by saying, I have hated liquid makeup all my life (I'm 56) and I've tried my share of them. Then when all the powder/mineral makeups came out, I tried and really liked them until my skin was just too dry and they didn't look good on me anymore. So, once again I went on the search to find something...anything I would like that would not dry out my skin and settle in my lines and pores.
Last weekend a girlfriend was visiting and she mentioned she wore Estee Lauder liquid foundation, but she didn't say which one. So, after she left, I got online and just happened to find this makeup. I was so skeptical, but after reading all the great reviews, I decided to get it.
I AM SO SHOCKED! I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this makeup! WOW...it's fantastic. OMGosh, where has it been all of my life?! I can honestly say it is the best liquid makeup I have ever used in my life!!
It doesn't dry out my skin, it doesn't make my skin oily, it takes absolutely no time to dry and I put it on right after putting on my moisturizer and I do NOT blot my moisturizer either, the color (Ivory Mist) is perfect, the coverage is wonderful, and IT DOES NOT NOT NOT SETTLE IN MY LINES OR PORES (and believe me, I use a 10x zoom mirror to make sure!).
Absolutely amazing!! Thank you and please don't ever stop making this makeup. I feel like I had to go without all my life and I don't want it to be taken away from me now.
I started using Fresh Air Foundation at the age of sixteen. It was easy to apply and it lasted. Several years ago, it was discontinued and I had to try other foundations in EL line. While it took me a while to find Lucidity, I was quite happy with it but it never quite took the place of Fresh Air. Lucidity was discontinued and again I had to find another EL foundation. The last one that I was using was also discontinued. While at the EL make up counter, I shared with the sales consultant my frustration with every foundation that I had ever used of EL being discontinued and how much I had loved Fresh Air, she advised me that I could purchase it online. I was so excited to once again see the familiar bottle of foundation. I even remembered my shade. I ordered and it arrived very quickly. i felt like a teenager again when I applied Fresh Air. I am now fifty five and I am so happy to have rediscovered this foundation. It's much like being reunited with a long lost friend.
Best For protecting my skin from aging, giving a smooth natural look, soaking in and blending, avoiding blemishes
I have been using "Fresh Air" makeup for over 25 years. It is the ONLY makeup that really works for my skin. I have used it every day. I am now 60 years old, and people say that my skin looks as if I am 35 years old! I have no wrinkles. I have no dark spots. I often get compliments from people saying that my skin looks flawless, and they don't even know I am wearing makeup. My skin would look uneven in color, without it. Also, all other makeups lift and rub off easily, and cause me to break out. When "Fresh Air" was no longer sold over the counter, I panicked. I briefly tried other kinds of makeup, but nothing else soaked in and blended like "Fresh Air." Nothing else felt really good for my skin. The "Fresh Air" simply has been the right match for my skin! Then I learned that I could still buy "Fresh Air" from Estee Lauder directly. I was thrilled, and I have been buying it 4 at a time ever since. I highly recommend "Fresh Air" for a truly natural look. I hope it is never discontinued! I am glad that I have had the chance to write this review. Perhaps it will help others to find the right match for their skin, and perhaps it will help to keep "Fresh Air" available.
I've been using the Fresh Air Makeup Base for a couple of weeks now and feel it's the best EL foundation. I was previously using the Double Wear line; however, I wasn't a fan of DW Light coverage & shades, and the original DW felt heavy and looked shiny within a few hours. The Fresh Air foundation feels light on my skin, evens out my skin tone with good coverage but still looks natural, and (so far) hasn't caused any breakouts or other problems on my sensitive skin. I was using the 2N2 in the DW and the online beauty advisor suggested I try Natural Beige; it's very similiar in color with a little more rose undertone, which actually matches my skin better. If there was one thing I could change it would be removing the fragrance from the product. Like other posters, I hope EL continues to make this product.
I have sensitive skin. I have tried most of the other Estee Lauder foundations and found them either too drying or irritating to my sensitive skin. I have rosacea and I believe the main problem for me is the sunscreen they all contain. That's why I am so excited to find Fresh Air Makeup. It has no sunscreen to irritate my skin. The coverage is great and it looks very natural. Even though there are limited shades available, it seems to adjust to match my skin tone when I apply it. It stays on all day and looks so natural, never feels heavy. I wish I had tried this a long time ago. Please, Estee Lauder, don't stop making this great foundation!
I am 20 years old and have tried numerous foundation products from almost every brand. Fresh Air is by far the best foundation I have ever used. It is so creamy and smooth and does not cake on. Unfortunately, it is hard to find in stores now and I hope they change that. But, I would highly recommend this product!
There is not a better foundation on the market, anywhere! Apply in the morning and your makeup is still on and fresh looking in the evening. I never need to "fix" my makeup during the day. I have been using Fresh Air Makeup Base for 27 years. I have ventured to buy other products but I always come back to Fresh Air. It is hands down the best stuff ever.
I have been using Estee Lauder Fresh Air Makeup Base ever since my mother-in-law got me started using it 47 years ago. I was so disappointed that my local department store discontinued it and was told the EL did not make it any more. But then I went online to the EL website and was elated to find it there. It is the best makeup base... so light and fresh, covers just enough without that "pasty" feeling. I constantly get compliments on my complexion, as being glowing and smooth. I have few wrinkles at 69 years of age. I owe it all to Estee Lauder and one other skin care item. Thank you for continuing to offer Fresh Air Makeup Base. Dots
Best For all skin types, those looking for natural-looking coverage
I have tried over 10 foundations over the past year searching for that "special one". I have finally found it! I am new to Estee Lauder products. I tried the Double Wear Maximum Coverage foundation about 1 month ago, and although I liked it, I was still searching for something that was lightweight and covered well. After reading all of the positive reviews about Fresh Air, I decided to try it, and, all I can say is that I wish I had found this sooner.
I have very uneven skin tone, yet this makeup makes my skin appear smooth and even, yet very natural. I have sensitive skin, and have not experienced any issues, such as rashes or breakouts. I set it with the Lucidity translucent powder, and it does not cake or transfer. I hope this is not discontinued. As other reviewers have stated, I think if this is marketed, other women will buy it. Classics are called classics for a reason - they are timeless. Newer products are not always better!
This is the 1st time I bought foundation on line. I was using Estee Lauder Double Wear TAWNY 37 before. I like it very much.
This time I shopped on line and read a lots of positive reviews before I pay it. I selected two Fresh Air foundation. One is IVORY MIST and another is LINEN BEIGE. It looks great color on screen. But When I got the products, I disappointed. Both color is a kind of greyish pink. It's not good for my skin color.
I have to agree - why do y ou discontinue or make it so difficult for customers to buy the best foundation on the planet? I used Fresh Air from the time I was 18 years old. It was a lucky day when I finally found a great foundation in the right shade, as I am difficult to match. For 25 years, I went to the makeup counter and knew exactly what I needed. Then it was discontinued and I didn't buy it for 15 years. So happy to accidentaly discover it online. Please return it to the stores, it's awesome.
I have used the same foundation for 40 years and don't plan to change now. It is so nice to have a product that feels like 'home' to me, I don't even want to try others as I can't find anything wrong with this one..thanks so much.
Best For all day wear a smooth finish and a natural look.
This is the best foundation that I have ever used. I've tried others but always come back to the Fresh Air Makeup Base. It goes on smoothly, stays on all day and gives coverage without a heavy build up of foundation. I just hope this isn't one of the products that Estee Lauder will discontinue like they have done with other great products.
This is wonderful makeup and only available from the website in my color. I love it! I've worn it for over 20 years and don't ever want to switch to something else! I would highly recommend it to anyone.
Best For Natural Look, Radiance Boosting, Concealing Flaws/Scars, Total Coverage, Long-wear, Skin Balancing
Been using this foundation for ~literally~ decades. I've tried others - even very expensive products from other cosmetic companies - but have always come back to Fresh Air. Mixed with a drop or two of water it SMOOTHS on over moisturizer / sunscreen. Then I can use it full strength over any troubled spots and some pigmentation I have developed from sun exposure (in my foolish youth) ...
When ever I go to a social function, I inevitability receive a phone call within a few days from a friend who is asking "for a friend" -- What makeup I am using? --since my skin seems to glow. How nice to hear and I am happy to share. Fresh Air may be an oldie, but it's a GOODIE
Best For Natural Look, Radiance Boosting, Concealing Flaws/Scars, Total Coverage
This foundation has a nice, light feel while at the same time providing good coverage. I especially like the undertones in the ivory mist shade, with my skin (on the pale side) this shade of foundation leaves a light and rosy look.
This is by far the best makeup Estee Lauder makes. I have been using this makeup for 25+ years. I keep hearing from department stores they are going to discontinue this make up I really hope Estee does not. I bought the Invisible fluid makeup because I was told it was similar to the Fresh Air makeup, I can tell you it is not. I really hope you continue to keep this makeup around.
